This is not something we wanted to write but it is to advise that we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel the monthly Sunday market for the remainder of 2020.

It hasn't been an easy decision especially after all the hard work that was put in to getting the independent market up and running initially but unfortunately no one could have foreseen Covid-19. We had been planning a scaled down market working hard to follow the guidelines laid out by the Government for open air events, and putting in place the necessary precautions to keep everyone safe. However, due to various factors, not least the uncertainty of a second wave in the winter months, we have come to the conclusion that despite our best efforts it would not be viable to run the market this year.

We are very sorry to disappoint everyone, but we feel it is the most sensible decision to take at this time and hopefully if the situation allows we intend to restart again in March 2021.
